There is a street in Buenos Aires called Rue des Artisans. And it was there, roughly 25 years ago, that two extraordinary women set out to solve a problem that every dancer knew intimately but nobody had properly fixed: dancing shoes were ugly. And beautiful shoes, you simply could not dance in.

A Simple Problem. A Revolutionary Solution.

Raquel Coltrinari and Alicia Muñiz looked at the Buenos Aires dance scene and said: no more. No more ugly, functional shoes. No more beautiful shoes that destroy your feet. They would create something that had never existed before - a dancing shoe that was genuinely, breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely built for the demands of the dance floor.

What They Built

Comme il Faut shoes are built on three pillars: exceptional design, the finest materials, and master craftsmanship. Each model is produced in a strictly limited run - just sixty pairs per design for the entire world. Sixty. That means when you buy a pair of Comme il Faut shoes, you are holding something genuinely rare. A collector's item for your feet.

The Numbers Are Extraordinary

Since that first day, Comme il Faut has released around ten new models every single month. Twelve months a year. For twenty-five years straight. That is an almost incomprehensible commitment to creativity and quality. And every pair is still handmade. Still limited. Still extraordinary.

A Word of Warning

Because of the limited production, Comme il Faut models sell out extremely fast. We mean it when we say: if you see a model you love on our website, don't wait. By the time you come back tomorrow it may already be gone. We receive new stock from Buenos Aires every month - sign up for our newsletter and be first in line.
